Nooks and Crannies has just turned a year old since its migration from Blogspot to WordPress.
The one-year stay with WordPress has been exciting and fun. And as a sign of gratitude to all my readers and blogging friends, I would like to give away a copy of this beautiful book, “How to Shoot Great Travel Photos” by Susan McCartney. This book is “fully illustrated with over 150 color photos, covers camera choices and which lenses are best for what, with an emphasis on digital equipment, plus detailed information on how to control almost any camera by using its available settings beyond the “point and shoot” or Auto mode.”
How to have this book, and perhaps more?
Here’s the mechanics:
1. Answer the quiz below.
2. Submit your answers by posting them as a comment. This comment will be moderated and will not be shown.
3. Post a second comment signifying that you have already submitted your answers. This will be acknowledged.
4. Post a blog entry why you deserve to have this book and link that entry to this page. The entry should not be more than 300 words. This should be a sticky post and should remain so until the deadline.
5. Deadline of all entries is on July 18, 2009.
6. Answers to the quiz can be changed before the deadline. The last set of answers submitted before the deadline will be the considered as the final answers.
7. No editing or changes are to be done on the blog entries after the deadline. They will be copied and will be sent to the judges.
8. Violation of the rules would mean disqualification from the contest.
9. The winner and other special prizes will be announced a week thereafter.
How will the winner be selected?
1. Each correct answer to the quiz is 10 points, a total of 100 points if one answered them all correctly. This will comprise 40% of the total accumulated points.
2. The number of comments in the blog entry will be taken into account. 30% of the number of comments will also comprise 30% of the total accumulated points.
3. The remaining 30% for the accumulated points will come from special judges that will be identified to score the different blog entries according to a specified criteria:
- Originality and Creativity – 30%
- Style and form – 30%
- Content (use of arguments why the author needs to win) - 20%
- Judge’s impression – 20%

- This is the question na hindi ko nakita ang right answer at hindi ako sure sa sagot ko pero dapat ko natapusin to. Goodluck to me. (Parang slumdog millionaire.) kasi nabasa ko lkang meron kang dalawang blog visitors na na-meet na sina Eva Igot and Maricel Gudes. So hindi sila bloggers. Tapos, ang second guess ko ay si Al Michael- isa ring photographer na nagkasama kayo sa isang night shoot out on March 17. Pagclick ko ng link niya, flicker ang lumabas so hindi rin siya.
