I would like to give away a copy of this beautiful book, “How to Shoot Great Travel Photos” by Susan McCartney.
How to have this book, and perhaps more?

wow. parang gusto kong makikalkal para maupdate sa history ng blogging mo. sinilip ko mga previous entries hanep! Pro!
Wow, you have opened my eyes. My favorite photos of your trip are the moss-covered churches. They tell such a story. I like the interior photos too, but the architectural ones leave more to the imagination.
The photos of the streets (previous post) remind me so much of Mexico, both the architecture and the people. I would like to taste that treat the the boy was selling.
Sa kabilang anniversary bakod, me comment na ako. Syempre, dito din. Congratulations Mark. Nooks and Crannies has been part of my spiritual journey as every visit is a little attempt to discern where the Voice is speaking. I take the spiritual meaning of information that seriously hehe. Malay natin, sa heaven, blogging is a big deal, so at least i learn how to decode na while on earth hahaha…

THE Philippine Center for Photojournalism (PCP), an organization established in 1997 by noted Filipino photojournalists, is inviting participants to its 5th Professional Photojournalism Seminar-Workshop to be held on August 27 to 31, 2009 at the FSC Forest Complex, Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Olongapo.
Participants, with digital SLR and point-and-shoot cameras, will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. The five-day, live-in workshop is designed for freelancers, news, government and corporate photographers and information officers.
There will be lectures on basic and documentary photography, photo editing, digital file management, Photoshop, photo story and photo essay development, wire agency photography, design and layout and basic writing for photographers. There will also be guided practical assignments within the lush and deeply forested environment of the Subic forest complex and nearby communities.
After the workshop, participants will be equipped with a better understanding of the roots and current trends of photojournalism and will have a better appreciation of the artistic, aesthetic and ethical practices of the profession.
The workshop will be facilitated by some of the country’s top photojournalists and educators including Joan Bondoc, PCP chair and senior photographer of the Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI); veteran photographers Alex Baluyut, Jimmy Domingo and PDI chief photographer Ernie Sarmiento who are instructors in the Ateneo de Manila University’s photojournalism program; and Luis Liwanag, chief photographer of the Manila bureau of Xinhua News Agency.
Other lecturers are VJ Villafranca, 2008 awardee of the prestigious Ian Parry Scholarship for photojournalists, documentary photographers Paolo Picones and Jake Verzosa, Leanne Jazul, art director of the award-winning magazine Newsbreak and Jose Torres Jr., a multi-awarded veteran journalist and author.
The workshop is supported by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
The subsidized workshop fee is P6,000 and is inclusive of food and accommodation, materials, limited edition t-shirt and a certificate of completion. Transportation to the venue and back is not covered by the fee.
