Hi Mark, great shots once again. I too actually love more the after sunset pictures, when the sky has turned purple, not orange, hehe, but then, i would have to do this alone since my hiking partner always ask me to "go, go, go, before we lose all the light", hehe. anyway, i soooooo love your first picture. and like you, i also dream of having a more powerful zooming lens so I can take pictures of birds from afar, I love capturing birds. I am not so much a fan of white fine sand, I am more into wildlife and serenity of the place, so I think you really had a great rest at Malapascua. Great you can travel alone, that is still something I have to learn as I do not have the guts to adventure on my own. Anyway, will try to follow you, to always bring a tripod, I alwasy forget to bring one and I do not have stable hands, thus I always get camera shake in my pics. Again, nice post, and great pictures. Hey, our blog theme is very similar, about our travels. I am glad we share some things in common, nature, places and picure taking. But in picture taking, this time, I know, you will be my teacher, heehehe. Role reversal :).

<blockquote><em>Hi Miss Beth, thanks for dropping by... Yes, I did have a good rest in Malapascua... Lately I've been travelling alone since most of my fellow photographers here are married and our schedules seldom meet nowadays due to changes in workloads. Before, there were about 3-5 of us that would go hiking/trekking. For this year, our schedules are meeting on July 12. So I guess, we'll be out in the fields by then. :) . I think that it has become my habit to always bring a tripod since I always wanted to take low light shots. Now that I have a 300mm lens, any shutter speed lower that 1/250s forces me to use a tripod.
On role reversal, I think we both have to learn together as I am still in old school photography. I am still using film. :) . Plus, your shots are very good! And I envy the places and scenic spots you've been to!

To more travels and pictures! :D
